Patch 0.76 — Communication & Auction Overhaul (Nov 3, 2025)

This update focuses on refining chat commands, improving auction house usability, and adding new UI and feedback systems to make the world of Gaia feel more alive.

Highlights
  • /Whisper Fix: Private messages now correctly send to the intended player, even during combat matches.
  • Player Inspection: Added inspection functionality so you can view details about other players.
  • Main Chest Animation: New gold/reward animation for treasure chests to enhance reward feedback.
  • Auction House Update: Listing fees are waived during beta testing.
  • Expanded Auction Capacity: Players can now list up to 100 items in the auction house (previously 2).
Chat & Communication
  • /whisper command now functions globally, including inside combat instances.
  • Improved reliability of private message delivery and visibility.
  • Ensured that local chat and general chat remain separated when sending private messages.
Player Interaction
  • Inspection added: Players can now right-click and use the inspection feature to view another player’s information and equipped items.
Visuals & Rewards
  • Main Chest Animation: New gold coin animation triggers when opening chests.
  • Added improved text indicators for earned gold and loot feedback.
Auction House
  • Listing Fees: Temporarily disabled for beta testers to encourage economy participation.
  • Item Cap Raised: Maximum item listings increased from 2 to 100 per player.
  • Backend improvements for auction data handling and server validation.
Notes

Patch 0.75 — Stability & Party Play (Oct 27, 2025)

This update focuses on multiplayer stability, clearer chat, and cleaning up a few progression and inventory edge cases.

Highlights
  • Multiplayer Match Fixes: Parties can reliably start matches with correct player↔character ratios. Lobby chat and character selection now reset/refresh correctly between runs.
  • Chat Revamp: New slash commands! Use /say for local chat and /whisper <name> <message> to DM a player.
  • No More Random Teleports: Corrected a core scene-movement logic bug that could warp players unexpectedly.
  • Level Ups Apply Cleanly: Offline-earned levels apply once on login without looping or desyncs.
  • Tactician Stash Fixes: Arudine itemstore no longer miscounts inventory slots; stash/inventory counts are consistent.
Multiplayer & Lobbies
  • Validated player→character assignments before Start Game to prevent orphaned or extra slots.
  • Character selection now properly resets between matches and on rejoin.
  • Lobby chat/nameplates synchronize for all clients, including the second-joining client edge case.
Chat Commands
  • /say <message> — speak locally to nearby players.
  • /whisper <player> <message> — direct message a specific player.
  • General reliability improvements to chat delivery and tab visibility.
Movement & Scenes
  • Fixed a rare nav/coord write-ordering issue that could cause random teleports during scene load/unload.
  • Scene transition state is now more defensive against out-of-order updates from clients.
Progression
  • Offline level gains now apply once on login and clear pending flags properly.
  • No more duplicate prompts or stuck level states after relog.
Inventory / Itemstore
  • Tactician inventory/stash: corrected slot counting with the Arudine itemstore.
  • Prevents ghost items, insert failures, and mismatched capacity displays.

Patch 0.71

“Smoother Journeys, Stronger Signals”

Focused polish on scene transitions, cutscene reliability, UI clarity, and stability.

Gameplay & Systems
  • Scene transitions now use an event-based trigger (no more fixed delays) for consistent swaps between areas.
  • Travel logic tightened to reduce rare edge cases during server-authoritative scene changes.
Audio
  • Introduced a new FMOD track: “Arcanium Nexus”, crafted to immerse players in the atmosphere of minting NFTs with DKP through our upcoming Nexus Minting system.
UI & UX
  • Fixed a quest reward hover/tooltip issue causing intermittent display problems.
  • Cutscenes are now immune to pings/notifications, preventing interruptions during story beats.
Stability & Performance
  • Additional safeguards around server transition edge cases to minimize rare travel hiccups.
Notes
  • We’ve been testing XRPL minting/metadata flows with Nexus; integration is ongoing (not included in 0.71 gameplay).

Patch 0.70

World & Systems
  • Overworld Biome Grid Placement
    • Added a dedicated TierMap tilemap layer to define biome and difficulty tiers across the overworld.
    • Biome + Tier combinations now drive appropriate monster spawn types per zone.
  • City Layout — Aranor
    • New elvish city with magical purple grass and elegant architecture.

UI & Input
  • Keybind & UI Save System
    • Flexible keybinding with modifier support (Shift, Ctrl, Alt), saved via PlayerPrefs.
    • Drag-and-drop UI positioning with persistent layout saving.
  • Tactician Buff UI
    • Buffs now feature a radial cooldown display with spell name, duration, and description.
    • Session data saved under SavedTacticianBuffs.
Server Logic & Authority
  • Server-Synced Timer System
    • UTC-based timers for crafting, cooldowns, and other time-sensitive mechanics.
    • 100% server-authoritative to prevent local clock manipulation or exploits.
Quest & NPCs
  • Quest Symbol Logic
    • Quest system restructured for massive scalability (up to 10,000 quests).
    • NPCs now display dynamic minimap icons based on the player’s current quest progress.
    • Optimized QuestLog class tracks both individual and chain quests.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
  • Resolved duplicate RPC calls by adding RemoveListener() in OnDisable(), greatly improving server performance and eliminating the last known memory leak.

Patch 0.62

General Updates & Systems
  • Keybindings: Added to the Settings Menu. Players can rebind any action to their preferred keys and save the layout locally.
  • UI Positioning: Players can now unlock UI layout (Alpha 0 key or Settings toggle) to drag and save positions. A reset option restores default layout.
  • UI Improvements: Army menu has been visually updated. Spells equipped on characters now show detailed tooltips on hover.
  • Night/Day Cycle: Gaia now shifts between night and day every 15 minutes. This affects which affects the randomness of what enemies may spawn.
  • Fortification: The tactician foritification spell has been added and now can be used on outposts and towns/cities to give a 10% reduced energy cost to resting in that area. A visual is displayed for all to see when fortified.
Tactician Spells & UI
  • Tactician Combat: Tactician’s can now equip up to 4 spells in-combat and most spells now function correctly
  • Tactician Out-Of-Combat: Tactician’s can now use a few spells out of combat. Most function properly except fertile soil
  • Tactician Spell Bar: Movable UI added to the bottom of the screen. Accessible outside of combat, particularly on the world map or safe areas like towns.
    • Morale Boost: +20 STR, +20 AGI (+1 per tactician level) for 30 min
    • Repel: Prevents random battles for 2 min
    • Mend: Heals target for 30 HP +1 per tactician level
    • Fortification: 10% rest energy cost reduction globally for 24h
    • Far Sight: Reveals 3×3 fog area for 5 sec
    • Fertile Soil: Doubles crop yield for 1 day
    • Return: Teleports party to Arudine
    • Restore: Restores 50% HP/MP to all party members (world map only)
Monster AI & Combat Enhancements
  • Monster AI: Improved spellcasting logic for enemy healers and casters. Fixed targeting issues that caused spell freezes or attacking dead/null targets.
  • Combat Spell Swap: Players can now quick-swap up to 4 combat spells for both characters and the Tactician.
Bug Fixes
  • Door Lock Fix: Rogues can now open silver doors using Lock Pick spell if lockpicks are in inventory.
  • Dispel/Purge: Can now remove crowd control effects from allies.

Patch 0.61

General Improvements & Fixes
  • Shield Block Exploit: The Shield Block spell now fades correctly after one block. It no longer works with two-handers or no shield, fixing an issue where Fighters became invincible.
  • Tactician Morale Boost: Morale Boost updated with new effect visuals and logic.
  • Character Creation Glitch: Minor pixel glitch on the left side of the wizard during character creation has been resolved.
  • New Characters: Starting characters now begin with full HP and MP. After purchasing a character, the character creation screen no longer kicks the player with red error text or SFX.
  • Escape Key Fix: Escape now closes arcanium nexus UI.
  • Compendium Display: Identified Lizard Warlocks now properly display instead of showing a question mark.
  • Account Creation Validation: Creating an account now correctly requires a capital letter, and the validation display reflects this.
  • Account Creation Sound: Changed to a new smoother sound.
  • Background Visibility: Character animation backgrounds across UI screens have been brightened to better highlight sprite borders.
  • Potion/Item Animations: Drinking potions no longer incorrectly triggers an auto-attack animation before the drink animation plays.
  • Volume Controls: Master Volume at zero no longer disables individual sliders from increasing volume, fixing quick bar usability.
Combat & Spell Fixes
  • Dispel/Purge: Priest and Enchanter Dispel/Purge now works correctly.
  • Debuffs: Debuffs such as Penetrating Strike and Armor Break properly affect the character sheet stats.
  • Penetrating Shot: Now hits all targets in a line, not just the first.
  • Charmed Creature Behavior:
    • Charmed units no longer require manual follow after charm ends or after killing enemies.
    • Charmed Mature Spiders now grant “Moderate Poison” as a passive proc instead of an unusable spell.
    • Charmed Iron/Stone Golems now correctly cast Heavy Swing within range.
    • Charmed pet’s Heel and Attack commands now work correctly with multiple units selected.
  • Hide Bug Fix: Resolved the bug where patrol and standard monsters would remain in the “hide” state indefinitely.
Animation & Equipment Fixes
  • Rogue Staff Animation: Rogues now animate properly when attacking with a staff.
  • Weapon Identification: 0-durability bows now correctly report the bow is broken, not that arrows are missing.
  • NFT Armor: NFT sleeves and shoulder animations corrected and now play in proper order.
  • Wizards & Rogues: Wizards now use staves correctly for attacks, and Rogues use daggers instead of staves.
  • Potion Use: Drink and eat animations now only affect the consuming character, not the whole party.
UI & Quality-of-Life
  • Tooltips: Fixed broken tooltips for tank/offense stance buffs on character sheets.
  • Inventory Shift-Click: Added Shift+Click to move items between character inventory and Tactician.
  • Inventory Tabs: Tactician inventory sheet now includes 5 additional tabs representing other party members for drag-and-drop item transfer.
  • Tactician UI: Tactician menu now opens with all party members as icons on the left. You can drag/drop items into inventories or equip directly via quick equip sprites, right-click context menus, or slot swapping.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Shift+1 to Shift+6 now opens/closes inventories for each party member.
  • Character Sheet Visual Bug: Equipping an item no longer causes a flicker with the unequipped graphic on the character sheet.
Harvesting & Gathering
  • Wood Node Swing Bug: Resolved an issue where players would swing indefinitely after harvesting wood nodes.
  • Tact Sprite Bug: Leaving a node while another player is on the world map no longer turns their tactician sprite into a grey box.
  • Food Stacking: Food items can now stack regardless of whether they are equipped.
  • Harvest UI Redesign: Harvest text box redesigned. Now displays resource gain, rare resources, experience, and energy cost in a clean 2-line format:
    • Line 1: +3 (T1 wood sprite)
    • Line 2: +0 EXP -2 (energy symbol)

Patch 0.60

General Improvements & Fixes
  • Bag Capacity: Tactician/Character bags now properly gain 5 lbs per quality rank instead of stats.
  • NFT Store: The Escape key now correctly exits the NFT store interface.
  • Harvesting: Nodes no longer cause players to continue swinging indefinitely after gathering.
  • MP Potion Fix: MP potions now restore MP correctly and no longer heal HP.
  • Mysterious Stash Bug: A critical issue with the Mysterious Stash that caused game-breaking errors has been resolved.
Combat & Animation Fixes
  • Drinking & Eating: Now only affects the character consuming the item, instead of triggering animations for all characters.
  • Priest Heal Animation: The heal animation now plays smoothly and no longer stutters between casts.
  • Rogue Backstab: Now requires a dagger and correctly executes only once per activation.
  • Fighter & Rogue Sounds: Backstab, Fighter Heavy Swing, and Fighter Knockback now have a more powerful sound effect upon execution.
  • Teleport/Formation Movement: The issue where Backstab could teleport a character behind walls has been resolved.
  • Weapon Usage: Wizards now correctly use staves instead of swords for attacks.
  • Weapon Usage: Rogues now correctly use daggers instead of staves when attacking.
  • Frost Weapon NFT: Frost weapon NFT procs are now working as intended.
Enemy Behavior & Animations
  • All enemies now have proper animations for attacking, walking, and spellcasting.

Patch 0.52 Updates 🐉

New Features and Additions
  • General Changes
    • Buffs now display correctly.
    • All player spell animations and sounds are now installed and functioning, with ongoing work on spells like Fortitude potentially linked to buff/debuff bugs.
    • Crafting is now limited to 5 items at a time, the bug where you could create more than 5 by spam clicking should be gone.
  • Class-Specific Changes
    • Priest:
      • Ranged auto attack replaced with melee auto attack.
      • New melee animations introduced.
    • Enchanter:
      • Ranged auto attack replaced with melee auto attack.
      • New melee animations introduced.
    • Wizard:
      • Ranged auto attack replaced with melee auto attack.
      • New melee animations introduced.
      • Ice block now gives proper immunity time, it was giving 10X the bonus and now reduced to proper duration.
    • Rogue:
      • Spell Changes:
        • Shuriken now casts in a line, damaging all enemies struck and applying effects.
        • Sneak ability removed; Hide revamped to allow movement while concealed, offering a large damage bonus on initial attack from stealth.
        • Critical Strike added, providing a significant damage boost.
    • Archer:
      • Spell Changes:
        • Double Shot replaced by Barrage, an instant cast spell firing 9 arrows in an area of effect, dealing moderate damage.
        • Fire Arrow now affects an area, reducing fire resistance of targets hit.
        • Nature’s Precision revamped to reduce stamina cost of auto attacks by 30% for 30 seconds, with increased benefits as skill level rises.
  • Equipment and Mechanics
    • Arrows, Shurikens, and Throw Stones now require specific equipment or spells; bows for arrows, and corresponding spells for Shurikens and Throw Stones.
    • Throw Stone now follows a direct line with a rock crumbling animation at the end.
  • Spell and Ability Mechanics
    • Gravity Stun now knocks units a few yards in a random direction.
    • Weaken/slow aoe function properly now
    • Magic Burst now reduces MP properly.
    • AOE spells can now be untoggled by pressing Z, right-click, or the spell hotkey; only left-click casts the spell to choose the AOE location.
    • Implemented a system check for spells with travel velocity to ensure the target does not perish before the projectile collides.
  • Latest Changes
    • AOE toggle functionality: Enchanter and Priest classes now have access to an AOE toggle for certain spells, increasing their effectiveness for an additional MP cost.
Known Issues
  • Priest Bug: Priest spell “Undead Protection” now correctly applies a 3-yard radius instead of 7.

    • Fighter/wizard animations: Animation updates to wizard and fighter classes.
Known Issues
  • Crafting: Crafting breaks when more than 5 items are created. This is a high-priority issue and will be fixed as soon as possible.
  • Fire Arrow: Currently non-functional. A fix is in progress.
  • Weaken/Slow AOE Toggle: The AOE toggle for these spells is not working correctly. Fixes are underway.

Patch 0.50 Updates 🐉

New Features and Additions
  • Latest Changes
    • AOE toggle functionality: Enchanter and Priest classes now have access to an AOE toggle for certain spells, increasing their effectiveness for an additional MP cost.
    • New Archer spell – Barrage: Archers now have *Barrage*, an instant-cast spell that shoots 9 arrows into the air, dealing moderate AOE damage. This addresses the need for a DPS boost, especially in AOE scenarios.
    • Spell animations progress: 80% of spell animations have been installed and are being corrected and polished for a smoother experience.
    • Global player fixes: Players located more than 9,000km from the USA server should now experience no issues learning spells.
    • Resource node increase: Random matches have a greater chance to drop resource nodes while exploring the world map
    • 24/7 server testing: Starting this month, the server will run continuously for the next 2 months for testing purposes. Take advantage of this opportunity to collect DKP before the live launch!
  • Coming Soon
    • Complete installation and polishing of animations and sounds for all spells to elevate the combat engine.
    • Add enemy attack/spell animations and sounds to make combat more dynamic and immersive.
    • Revamp chat system and ensure the subscription/referral system is fully functional with mintable NFTs.
    • Fix Xaman login issues and implement Google login as an additional sign-in option.
Known Issues
  • Crafting: Crafting breaks when more than 5 items are created. This is a high-priority issue and will be fixed as soon as possible.

Patch 0.40 Updates 🐉

New Features and Additions
  • Nexus Platform Integration:
    • DragonKill has been integrated with the Nexus platform, enabling players to create accounts or link old accounts.
    • If you already have a DragonKill account, create a new account with the same email. After email validation, open a support ticket on Discord for a Game Master to manually link your account and retain your data.
    • New features include password reset, email verification resend, and the ability to register either via the website or after downloading the launcher and game.
    • This integration lays the foundation for on-demand NFT minting. NFTs will be tied to in-game mechanics (level-ups, cooldowns, etc.) without requiring burning and reminting, blending Web2 and Web3 features seamlessly.
    • Players not participating in Web3 functionality can still enjoy the game using in-game gold but won’t benefit from Play-to-Earn features like converting DKP to XRP or other assets.
  • Premium Membership Options:
    • Players can now spend gold in their game wallets to purchase premium membership tiers:
    • 1 Month Subscription: Standard premium for one month.
    • Bronze Package: 300k gold for 3 months of premium, a Bronze Chest, and a Bronze Tactician Earring (NFT).
    • Silver Package: 600k gold for 6 months of premium, a Silver Chest, and a Silver Tactician Earring (NFT).
    • Gold Package: 1 million gold for 12 months of premium, a Gold Chest, and a Gold Tactician Earring (NFT).
Known Issues
  • Character Spells & Level Ups: Issues persist and are under investigation.
  • Crafting: Can craft more than 5 items and it breaks crafting.

Patch 0.38 Updates 🐉

New Features and Additions
  • Crafting update: Quality of life change for crafting. Crafting menu now saves your position if you close or view another menu.
Bug Fixes
  • Multiplayer matches:Leaving a multiplayer match no longer boots match players off the game
  • Random fog segment revealed: Fixed a bug where during transport, players objects were triggering discovery of fog segments on the main Gaia map..
  • Outpost trap:Tacticians can now enter and exit the outpost beyond the Spider Caverns, beware if you make it there the healing NPC is currently down
  • Outpost roof:Outpost roof now functions to see inside of it
  • Client range:Adjusted time sensitive calls to have baked in delays to account for long distance signal pathing.
Known Issues
  • Character Spells & Level Ups: Issues persist and are under investigation.
  • Crafting: Issues persist with players over 5500 km from server and are under investigation.
  • Random Match Bug: Random match desync issue should be fixed; report any further occurrences.

Patch 0.37 Updates 🐉

New Features and Additions
  • Website NFT Store (Beta): The NFT viewer is now live, allowing purchases with $DKP in the future. Full functionality coming soon.
  • Roof System for Buildings: Buildings now feature dynamic roofs for immersion.
  • NFT System Framework: Expanded for online NFT transactions; player account linkage at 50% completion.
  • Slum Housing NFTs: Players who do not own an Arudine Property now have access to Slum Housing NFTs, available in unlimited supply. These NFTs provide a cost-effective option for progression without the competitive limit of Arudine properties (10 available). Slum NFTs will be purchasable with DKP and will offer bonuses at roughly 66% less efficiency than the limited housing plots. Were starting the slums housing at 3 million dkp per or players can complete a very long quest in game to earn a free slums housing voucher (not yet in game).
  • New Arcanium Nexus NFT Shop: An exclusive in-game NFT shop offering powerful equipment and utility items, including full armor sets, unique inventory items such as the Wand of Ice Blast—which can unleash an ice blast on opponents during combat with a cooldown—and a new gathering set with specialized tools. All items will be available for purchase with $DKP through the Nexus platform and Xaman wallet integration.
Bug Fixes
  • Central Controller Synchronization: Fixed player and NFT tracking across servers with a live NFT token dictionary.
  • Time Manipulation Bug: All cooldowns now sync with the main system clock, preventing exploits.
Upcoming Features
  • NFT Upgrade System: Integration with AWS S3 to support mutable NFT metadata.
  • NFT Shop Functionality: Integration with the Xaman XRP wallet and PlayFab account linking will soon be enhanced through the Nexus platform, developed by XRPL Grant Wave 6 awardees. This upgrade will enable real-time push notifications sent directly to your Xaman wallet, allowing NFT purchases in $DKP for full blockchain utility.
  • Housing Functionality: Arudine properties will soon offer exclusive benefits, including powerful utility cooldowns. Players will gain perks such as daily rest in their homes to restore 200+ energy, the ability to sell up to six items in their shop free from taxes and fees, and additional enhancements to come.

Patch 0.36 Updates 🐉

New Features and Crafting Adjustments
  • Crafting Experience Overhaul: Reduced to 2 EXP per 1 energy spent for balanced progression.
  • Tier 1 Crafting Requirements: Lowered to enable more crafting at level 1.
Music System Improvements
  • Zone-Specific Persistence: Music resumes from saved positions when re-entering zones.
  • Scene-Specific Reset: Music resets when changing scenes for smoother transitions.

Patch 0.35 Updates 🐉
